Project[52] - eleven

Getting away from the daily grind at work is good sometimes.  Last week I was able to attend a conference for my day job in Nashville Tennessee.  It was a good conference and gave me some great ideas to try out to make my job easier.  There were several keynote speakers that talked about being successful in everyday life and I was able to glean lots of information and apply it to my day job and to my photography job.  My wife was able to go with me so we extended our stay a few days to do some site seeing.  Our hotel was next door to the Grand Ole Opry so buying tickets was easy.  The picture above is of Pam Tillis.  They had a variety of singers perform that night.  I'm not a big fan of country music but my wife and I really enjoyed the entertainment.

Even though I was able to pack around my DSLR with me all the time it wasn't always convenient to have it out of my backpack.  I was able to use my iPhone quite a bit for some detail shots and really like having something that was small and could fit in my pocket.  I've included a few of my favorite shots below.  I'd go back to Nashville in a heart beat, I'd like to see it in the early summer or late fall.
