Winter Cabin

We spent a few days at our family cabin in Wyoming over the holidays.  I was able get out just before sunset to capture a few images of the cabins.

Lone Tree

Going through my library this weekend and came across this image I took this spring.  I plan on going back this winter when the ground is covered in snow.

Great Salt Lake Reserve

I live just a couple of miles away from this reserve.  Just beyond the grass is where the Great Salt Lake starts.  My kids love coming out here for walks and to enjoy the views.  Now that the summer heat is winding down I plan on spending more time out here.

Project[52] - seven

I took a few minutes yesterday to drive out the Great Salt Lake to capture the images for this weeks post.  The water level is pretty high this time of year and always has a different look each time I'm out there.

A Town Called Freedom

While driving through Freedom Wyoming a few weeks ago I couldn't help but notice this post office.  I found it odd that the window in the right has bars and drapes.  I'm guessing that the right half is a residence and the left is the post office, not a bad commute.  The image below is directly across the street.  I like how both buildings are competing with each other with the red theme.  And to make it more interesting, the street where I'm standing is the state line. The post office is in Freedom Wyoming and the Garage is in Freedom Idaho.  Two towns with the same name from different states separated by a two lane street.

Lifeless

I took a few minutes last week on my drive to work to try to capture the mood of the past few weeks here in Utah.  The fog around the lights drew me to this spot and the tree set the tone to convey the cold lifeless mood of winter.
